OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO TASK FORCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed Helen O. Kellogg of Englewood and Kathy Jensen of Littleton to the Governor’s Task Force for Persons with Disabilities.
Helen O. Kellogg will serve as a representative of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado. Kellogg is currently the executive director of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado and is a member of the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators.
Kathy Jensen will serve as a representative of the Colorado Chronic Conditions Coalition. Jensen is programs manager for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Denver and is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience working with people with disabilities. She received her master’s in social work from the University of Illinois.
The Governor’s Task Force for Persons with Disabilities explores ways to increase the coordination and effectiveness of boards, councils, and commissions concerned with publicly funded services to persons with disabilities. The task force consists of at least eight members, each serving a term until the council and executive order terminate on November 30, 2000 unless extended by the Governor.
