OWENS APPOINTS TOM ANN CASEY TO THE OIL AND GAS CONSERVATION COMMISSION
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed Tom Ann Casey of Durango to serve on the Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.
Tom Casey is a geological manager for EnerVest San Juan in Durango. Prior to 1990, Casey served as a geological contractor for Gas Research Institute in Chicago. She served as president of the Four Corners Geological Society and as a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. She received her master’s degree from Stanford University.
The Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is comprised of seven members who serve four-year terms and need Senate confirmation. The Commission enforces the provisions of the Oil and Gas Confirmation Act, promotes the development and utilization of oil and gas in Colorado and protects public and private interests by preventing waste in production and utilization.
