OWENS CO-HOSTS INC. 500 ANNUAL
CONFERENCE
IN VAIL JULY 12-14

DENVER - Gov. Bill Owens is hosting the 18th Annual Inc. 500 Conference in Vail from

July 12-14. This is the first time the annual awards ceremony for the nation’s top privately-held companies will be held in Colorado. The Governor is hosting a reception for Inc. 500 participants on Wednesday, July 12, 7:00 PM at The Lodge Hotel, Vista Bahn Terrace.

"Hosting this conference gives us an opportunity to showcase what a great place Colorado is to do business and to live," said Gov. Owens. "Colorado’s thriving economy is an attractive incentive to many companies looking to relocate."

Colorado is home to 12 of the nation’s top 500 fastest growing privately held companies. These Inc. award winners include a broad representation of the small and medium-sized high-tech companies that are driving the state’s economy.

Colorado ranks 2nd in the nation in the number of skilled high-tech employees per 1,000 workers, and 4th in the nation in high-tech economic growth. Approximately 46 percent of the Inc. 500 award-winning companies represent the technology industry. CEOs from over 700 companies from across the nation will be attending the conference next week.

Editor’s Note: The conference is by invitation only.
