OWENS APPOINTS LEO JOHNSON TO
THE FIRE AND POLICE PENSION ASSOCIATION
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed Leo L. Johnson of Littleton to serve on the Fire and Police Pension Association.
Leo Johnson will serve as a representative of a special district. He currently serves as the secretary to the board of directors for the Southwest Suburban Denver Water and Sanitation District. Johnson served as the president to the board of directors for the West Metro Fire and Rescue District from 1993 to 1998. He received his master’s degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology.
The Fire and Police Pension Association is comprised of nine members who serve four-year terms and need Senate confirmation. The association is a local-governmental unit that administers a statewide pension plan for full-time police officers and firefighters.
