OWENS APPOINTS RICHARD BRINKLEY TO STATE ELECTRICAL BOARD
DENVER – Governor Bill Owens recently appointed Richard D. Brinkley of Glenwood Springs to the State Electrical Board.
Richard D. Brinkley will serve as a representative of an electrical utility as he replaces David N. Atwood who resigned from the board. Brinkley is currently the general manager of regulated services for Holy Cross Energy where he began working as a field engineer in 1973. Brinkley received his bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University.
The State Electrical Board is comprised of nine members who serve three-year terms and need Senate confirmation. The State Electrical Board adopts and revises rules and regulations regarding the installation, addition, alteration and repair of electrical light, heat and power conduits. It also examines requests for licenses and license renewal, prosecutes violators and inspects electrical installations and equipment.
