DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed Joanne Hendrick of Durango to the State Board of Optometric Examiners for a term expiring on April 15, 2004.

Joanne Hendrick will serve to represent optometrists. Hendrick operates Chapel Hills Vision Clinic, a private practice specializing in contact lenses. Prior to having her own practice, Hendrick was a general practitioner for Kaiser Permanente. Hendrick holds a doctorate degree from Pacific University College of Optometry.
