OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE COLORADO COMPENSATION INSURANCE AUTHORITY
DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed John F. Kent of Englewood and Glen L. Schelhaas of Longmont to the Board of Directors of the Colorado Compensation Insurance Authority.
John F. Kent will serve as a representative of employers. Kent is currently the president of Oxford Recycling Inc. and is a member of the Colorado Contractors Association. He holds a master’s degree from the University of Denver.
Glen L. Schelhaas will serve as a representative of employees. Schelhaas is director of finance for Agland, Inc. in Eaton. He is vice chairman of the Colorado Feed & Grain Association Safety Committee.
The Board of Directors of the Colorado Compensation Insurance Authority assists the manager of the Colorado Compensation Authority, and the officers and the employees of the authority in formulating policies. The council also discusses problems related to the affairs of the authority.
The board consists of seven members who serve five-year terms and need Senate confirmation. Kent will serve with a term expiring on January 1, 2005 and Schelhaas will serve with a term expiring on January 1, 2001.
