OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE STATE BOARD OF EXAMINERS OF ARCHITECTS
DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed Duane A. Boyle of Colorado Springs and Daniel Sandoval of Pueblo to the State Board of Examiners of Architects.
Duane A. Boyle will serve as an architect. Boyle is a command architect for the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is the president of the Colorado South Chapter American Institute of Architects. Boyle holds a master’s degree from the University of Colorado.
Daniel Sandoval will serve as a public member. Sandoval is a retired personnel management specialist. He is currently the vice-chairman of the American GI Forum and a member of the League of Latin American citizens. Sandoval is also a member of the Workforce Development Board in Pueblo.
The State Board of Examiners of Architects renews and licenses qualified architect applicants, adopts and revises rules and regulations, and conducts hearings concerning the disciplining of architects.
The board consists of seven members who serve four-year terms and do not need Senate confirmation. Boyle and Sandoval will serve on the board with terms expiring on February 15, 2004.
