OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW
MEMBERS TO THE COLLECTION AGENCY BOARD
DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed Beverly M. Vawter of Durango and William L. Boettcher of Longmont to the Collection Agency Board.
Beverly M. Vawter will serve as a member of the public. Vawter volunteers as the treasurer of the Durango Western Movie Society. She has worked with the American Business Women’s Association in California.
William L. Boettcher will serve as a representative of a collection business. Boettcher is a licensed collection agent and chief executive officer of BC Services Inc. He has served as chairman, treasurer and board member for the Longmont United Hospital. Boettcher received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.
The Collection Agency Board makes recommendations on the licensing of collection agencies and investments and investigates complaints filed against them. The board consists of five members who serve three-year terms and do not need Senate confirmation. Vawter and Boettcher will serve with terms expiring on April 30, 2003.
