OWENS APPOINTS JADWIGA STRZELCZYK TO THE RADIATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE
DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed Jadwiga (Jodi) Strzelczyk of Denver to the Radiation Advisory Committee.
Jadwiga Strzelczyk will serve as a representative of higher education. Strzelczyk is an assistant professor for the Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Prior to 1995, she served as a senior instructor and radiation safety officer for the State University of New York at Stony Brook from 1991 to 1995. Strzelczyk is currently enrolled in the doctoral program in health and behavioral sciences at the University of Colorado.
The Radiation Advisory Committee furnishes technical advice to the Department of Public Health and Environment on matters relating to the radiation control program. The committee consists of nine members with terms expiring at the pleasure of the Governor. There is no Senate confirmation required for the members.
