OWENS APPOINTS TWO NEW MEMBERS TO THE REAL ESTATE COMMISSION
DENVER – Gov. Bill Owens appointed Firooza Moorhead of Littleton and Ted Bryant of Lakewood to the Real Estate Commission.
Firooza Moorhead will serve as a member of the public. Moorhead is the president of Cherry Knolls Floral in Littleton. She has worked as a licensed real estate sales person and has attended Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Ted Bryant will serve as a representative of brokers. Bryant is a realtor and owner of Ted Bryant, Inc. He is the director of the National Association of Realtors and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri.
The Real Estate Commission regulates the licensing and conduct of real estate brokers and salespeople, and the subdivision of developers and preowned home warranty service companies. It also administers the Real Estate Recovery Fund Act.
The commission consists of five members who serve three-year terms and do not need Senate confirmation. Moorhead and Bryant will serve with terms expiring on April 12, 2003.
