OWENS ANNOUNCES COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL
MEMORIAL SERVICE PROGRAM
DENVER - Governor Bill Owens will be joined by Vice President Al Gore at the Columbine High School Memorial Service tomorrow, Sunday, April 25, at 1:00 PM at the Mann Theatre parking lot at Bowles Crossing Shopping Center across from Clement Park at Pierce and Wadsworth.
The memorial service program:
- Opening prayer by Denver Catholic Archbishop Charles Chaput
- Welcome by Governor Bill Owens
- Remarks by Jefferson County Commissioner Pat Holloway
- Remarks by Jefferson County School District Superintendent Jane Hammond
- Music by Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant
- Remarks by Littleton Mayor Pat Cronenberger
- Prayer by Dr. Jerry Nelson, Southern Gables Church
- Music by Phil Driscol
- Governor Owens introduces Vice President Al Gore
- Remarks by Columbine High School Student Body President Heather Dinkel
- Music by Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant
- Remarks by Franklin Graham
- Concluding remarks by Governor Bill Owens
Owens will appear on three national news programs tomorrow, Sunday, April 25 regarding the Columbine High School tragedy including NBC Today Show Weekend, Fox News Sunday, and CBS Face the Nation.
Also, Owens delivered today's Republican response to President Clinton's radio address.
