"I am deeply saddened by the tragedy that unfolded yesterday at Columbine High School," said Owens. "Jefferson County victims' assistance is in the process of contacting families, and my office will be working with them to coordinate the assistance efforts for this tragedy."
Immediate family members of the victims will be contacted and provided the following: free air and ground transportation for the families of the victims who need to travel to Colorado, free hotel accommodations, counseling services, a complete list of scheduled memorial services, where to donate blood, and other crisis information.
