DENVER  -  Governor Bill Owens today at a news conference named a team of experts to advise him on whether he should appoint a special prosecutor in the JonBenet Ramsey murder case. The team plans to meet with Ramsey prosecutors, investigators and others and advise the Governor on a possible special prosecutor appointment.

The members of the Governor's Special Prosecutor Advisory Team are:

 

"I'm pleased that this distinguished team of legal experts will advise me on a possible special prosecutor appointment," Owens said. "Justice demands that we evaluate every legal option that might help us determine who murdered JonBenet Ramsey. This advisory team will help me decide if appointing a special prosecutor will further the interests of justice in this case."

Members of the Governor's Special Prosecutor Advisory Team will be designated as Special Assistant Attorneys General to ensure the confidentiality of their deliberations and recommendations.
