Customers: The State Archives public research room is open 9:00--4:30p.m.  on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of each week, excluding state holidays. We are closed on weekends and Wednesdays.
Plus, due to the Governor’s Directive requiring furlough days the Colorado State Archives will be closed:

  • Friday, November 27, 2009 (the day following Thanksgiving);
  • Thursday, December 31, 2009 (New Year’s Eve).
  • Friday, January 15 2010 (Friday before the Martin Luther King Holiday weekend);
  • Friday, February 12, 2010 (Friday before the President's Day weekend);
  • Friday, April 2, 2010 (Good Friday); and
  • Friday, May 28, 2010 (Friday before Memorial Day).
