Loss Control

In its mission to help protect the state’s human and financial assets, the State Office of Risk Management provides free consulting and technical services for all state departments and offers comprehensive safety and loss control programs and resources. A detailed State Risk Management Plan helps departments comply with workplace safety requirements and build the foundation for an effective safety and loss control program.

Other available resources to help build a successful safety and loss control program include: guidelines to develop and implement a Return-to-Work Program, a Workers’ Compensation Manual to help explain the process and define responsibilities, required workplace posters, information on Ergonomic self-assessments and evaluations, job safety analysis, accident investigation, safety committee development and other safety and loss control program coordination.
