Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) enable you to pay for
certain eligible medical and dependent/day care expenses
with pre-tax dollars. FSA rules and regulations are
explained in detail in the
Salary Reduction Plan,
the
Exceptions to Irrevocability Rule
and the FAQs for FSAs, all through the links below. You
are expected to be familiar with the conditions and
limitations of the plan. Making an error during the
enrollment process or misunderstanding plan provisions
will NOT enable you to change your elections during the
Plan Year. Eligible changes are listed in the Salary
Reduction Plan Document in Section 7.4.1.

Savings Accounts (HSA)
The State will continue to
offer both a Health Savings Account (HSA) and an HSA-qualified
High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) – the OA-H plan –
that goes hand-in-hand with the HSA. To contribute to
the State’s HSA, an employee must be enrolled in the OA-H
plan. Please use the links below to learn more about
HSAs and the rules governing these accounts.
