Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) enable you to pay for certain eligible medical and dependent/day care expenses with pre-tax dollars. FSA rules and regulations are explained in detail in the Salary Reduction Plan, the Exceptions to Irrevocability Rule and the FAQs for FSAs, all through the links below. You are expected to be familiar with the conditions and limitations of the plan. Making an error during the enrollment process or misunderstanding plan provisions will NOT enable you to change your elections during the Plan Year. Eligible changes are listed in the Salary Reduction Plan Document in Section 7.4.1.

Health Savings Accounts (HSA)

The State will continue to offer both a Health Savings Account (HSA) and an HSA-qualified High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) – the OA-H plan – that goes hand-in-hand with the HSA.  To contribute to the State’s HSA, an employee must be enrolled in the OA-H plan.  Please use the links below to learn more about HSAs and the rules governing these accounts.
