Alternative Work Arrangements Work-Life alternative scheduling and arrangements strive to offer flexibility to employees and managers. For many employees, primary values have moved toward a focus on flexible schedules and support for a healthy work-life balance. Alternative work scheduling such as flextime and flexplace, (sample flexplace form), and arrangements like job sharing and lactation rooms allow managers the flexibility to make important business decisions while accommodating for an ever-changing and diverse work force. Alternative work arrangements are designed to be management tools and are not an employee right or benefit. Work-Life options like flexplace, flextime, and job sharing may also be used as low to no cost incentive or performance rewards. These options require management approval prior to implementation.
