State Travel Manager
Lenora Kingston
As
the State Travel Manager of the State Travel Management program,
Lenora oversees and monitors all State employee travel. This
oversight extends to contracts with travel suppliers—travel card
systems, airlines, rental car agencies, lodging providers,
travel agencies and various incidental suppliers. The program
also has an advisory body, by way of the STMP Vendor Roundtable.
Additionally, the program provides training, guidance and
administrative support for all State Agencies, Higher
Educational Institutions and participating Political
Subdivisions.
Lenora began with the state in 1998. She brings her
organizational skills and website management experience to the
benefit of the program. Her most recent accomplishments were the
Society of Government Travel Professionals "Best 2004 Travel
Management Program" & "2006 Certificate of Achievement" awards
and the Department of Personnel & Administration Executive
Director’s Award in 2005. Lenora is involved with the Rocky
Mountain Business Travel Association and the Society of
Government Travel Professional’s. More recently, Lenora was
honored to accept a Chair appointment for the National Business
Travel Association - Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.
The appointment support's the numerous State of Colorado
'greening' & environmental initiatives.
