GOV. RITTER HELPS BREAK GROUND ON NEW AURORA P-20 EDUCATION CAMPUS

Gov. Bill Ritter joined Aurora Public Schools Superintendent John Barry and other educators today to break ground on the district's new unique education campus, which will guide students along a seamless path from pre-school to college and careers.

The $72.4 million, 100-acre campus will help fulfill Gov. Ritter's statewide education goals as envisioned in 2008's Colorado Achievement Plan for Kids (CAP4K) law.

"Today's groundbreaking realizes the vision of CAP4K, that all students in Aurora, regardless of their station in life, get the opportunity they need to succeed," Gov. Ritter said. "This campus will help give every student the skills and knowledge necessary to get ahead in a global economy and fulfill their God-given potential."

The Governor also issued a proclamation congratulating the district:
