Homeland Security Grant Manager, Austin Geddis, joined the Grant Program staff in January 2009. He serves as the Grant Manager coordinating Homeland Security, Citizen Corps, Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention, Buffer Zone Protection, Public Safety Interoperability Communications, Urban Area Security Initiative, and Transit Security Grant Programs. Mr. Geddis is the Grant Manager for the Northeast, and North Central, Regions, Denver UASI, several state agencies, and the Regional Transportation District (RTD).
Prior to coming to the Governor's Office of Homeland Security, Mr. Geddis served in Homeland Security grant management capacities with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs –Division of Emergency Management. In addition, Mr. Geddis managed the administration of retirement plans assets in excess of 7 billion dollars for colleges in the New England states while working for a large non-profit company.
Mr. Geddis brings over 14 years of financial administration experience to the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and holds numerous certificates in governmental accounting, and emergency preparedness. Mr. Geddis holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Administration from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, at Indiana University.
