RITTER ADMINISTRATION MARKS MID-TERM ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Gov. Bill Ritter today released a comprehensive list of accomplishments as his administration marks the midway point of his four-year term in office.
Over the past two years, Gov. Ritter has: built Colorado's New Energy Economy; devised a 21st century economic-development strategy; initiated bold education, health care and public-safety reforms; brought a more balanced approach to energy development and natural resource protection; and begun to modernize state government operations to provide more efficient services to the public.
"We have made important gains and demonstrated significant progress these past 24 months," Gov. Ritter said. "We've made wise investments in human and physical capital that will yield significant returns in the years to come.
"We also have a solid foundation that will help us weather the financial storm that is hurting families and businesses all across the state. I look forward to working closely with the 2009 legislature when it convenes next week to continue addressing the major economic challenges facing all Coloradans."
