GOV. RITTER & FIRST LADY JEANNIE RITTER EXTEND HOLIDAY GREETINGS TO ALL OF COLORADO
Gov. Bill Ritter and First Lady Jeannie Ritter extended Holiday Greetings today to Coloradans all over the state and those abroad serving our country.
"During this time of year, we typically take the time to give and share the spirit of the holidays with family, friends, and others who are in need," said Gov. Bill Ritter. "We tend to be more hopeful, kinder and aware of the blessings that have come our way. This holiday season, in these very difficult economic times, we need that spirit more than ever."
"As we celebrate the spirit of the 2008 Holiday Season, my hope is that we'll reconnect with those around us who may be having a difficult time," said First Lady Jeannie Ritter. "Now is a time when we can make a difference in someone's life or in the life one of the non-profits that serve a variety of communities across the state. With so many children and families struggling right now, we pray that this spirit of giving continues well beyond the New Year."
"2008 was such a historic time in our country and in our state," Gov. Ritter said. As I look ahead to the coming year with all of its economic challenges, I will be working harder to protect and create jobs, strengthen our economy, invest in education and help Coloradans get through these challenging times.
"The First Lady and I extend our warmest and sincerest holiday greeting to all of Colorado during this season. Our hope is that you will be happy and safe. God bless you all."
