SELECTION COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES SECRETARY OF STATE FINALISTS
A selection committee appointed to review applicants for the upcoming Secretary of State vacancy announced today it has submitted the names of three finalists to Gov. Bill Ritter:
- Departing State Rep. Bernie Buescher of Grand Junction
- Departing State Sen. Ken Gordon of Denver
- Departing Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff of Denver
The public is invited to submit comments about the three finalists by Dec. 16 via e-mail to sos.comments@state.co.us.
The three finalists were selected from among 20 applicants. The upcoming vacancy is occasioned by Secretary of State Mike Coffman’s election to Congress.
