Statewide Strategic Use Fund
The Colorado Works Statewide Strategic Use Fund (SSUF) was created per the passage of Senate Bill (SB) 08-177 on June 2, 2008. This Fund, which is derived from an appropriation of federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) dollars, is intended to be a mechanism through which more attention can be placed on serving Colorado's low-income populations through statewide community investment. Recommendations regarding allocations from the SSUF are make by the Colorado Works Strategic Allocation Committee (SAC) and approved by the Department's Executive Director.
Colorado Works is now accepting applications for Round III. Pending legislative approval, a total of approximately $10 million will be available for the funding period beginning July 1, 2010 and ending June 30, 2012. All applications are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010.
