Health Insurance Buy In
Medicaid pays the client's portion of commercial health insurance premiums when it would be cost-effective for Medicaid to do so. HIBI currently has approximately 450 active clients and pays approximately $90,000 per month in premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and co-pays. HIBI has saved an accumulated net total of approximately $25.5 million Medicaid dollars since the program began in 1992.
