Rulemaking Hearings

Executive Order D 2012-002, and Senate Bill 14-063 require State agencies to review all agency rules at least once every five years. Rule 19 Gaming district boundaries has been reviewed and the Division is proposing minor corrections for the sake of consistency and clarification. These changes are considered non-substantive and will be filed with the Colorado Secretary of State as a correction filing.

Stakeholders are welcome to comment on the proposed changes in writing, and may propose additional changes for the Division to consider as part of this rule review. Please either mail your comments to the Division at 17301 W. Colfax Ave, Suite 135, Golden, CO 80401, or send them via e-mail to Rules Manager Ronni Hunter at ronni.hunter@state.co.us by August 25, 2014.  This opportunity for comment will satisfy the stakeholder workshop requirement.
 
This is to notify you that the Division of Gaming will hold a Stakeholder Rule Making Workshop on Tuesday, August 12th at 10 am,in the Golden Gaming Office located at 17301 W. Colfax Ave, Suite 135, Golden, CO 80401.   
 
Executive Order D 2012-002, and Senate Bill 14-063 require State agencies to review all agency rules at least once every five years. Rule 12 has been reviewed and the Division is proposing changes and corrections for the sake of consistency, clarification, and to update the rule to accommodate changes in gaming equipment and technology.
 
Stakeholders are welcome to attend the Rule Making Workshop and may propose additional changes for the Division to consider as part of this rule review. If a stakeholder wishes comment on this rule review in writing, please either mail your comments to the Division at the address above, or send them via e-mail to Rules Manager Ronni Hunter at ronni.hunter@state.co.us. All written comments must be received by the Division of Gaming no later than August 31st, 2014.

This is to notify you that proposed changes to Rule 18 Contracts and formal agreements between the commission and other state agencies, will be heard at the Division of Gaming’s monthly Commission meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2014, beginning at 9:30 am. The hearing will take place at the Cripple Creek Gaming Office located at 350 W. Carr Ave., Cripple Creek, Colorado 80813.

This hearing date will also satisfy the stakeholder workshop requirement. Stakeholders are welcome to propose additional changes for the Division to consider as part of this rule review. Stakeholders may submit written documents and are welcome to attend and testify at the rulemaking hearing. If a stakeholder wishes to comment in writing, please either mail your comments to the Division at 17301 W. The Division of Gaming is proposing changes to Rule 8, 10, and 23. Changes are being made to Rule 8 to promulgate rules for a new blackjack game. Changes to Rule 10 are being made to add two recently approved games to the list of authorized types of poker, to add new paytables to several poker games and to promulgate rules for two new poker games. Finally Rule 23 is being changed to promulgate rules for a new Craps game.
 
If any stakeholder wishes comment on the proposed rule changes in writing, please e-mail ronni.hunter@state.co.us. All written comments must be received by the Division of Gaming no later than July 1st, 2014.  The hearing for these proposed rule changes will be at the Gaming Commission meeting on August 28, 2014.
