Motorcycle Plates

Below are images of all the plates available in motorcycle sizes.  Motorcycle is defined by Colorado Revised Statute 42-3-102(59) as a motor vehicle designed to travel on no more than three (3) wheels. Only one plate is required. Please see the main license plate pages for information regarding specific plates and obtaining them.

Dealer Demo Motorcycle License Plate

Demo Motorcycle Dealer

About: These plates are, in lieu of registering each vehicle, to be transferred from one vehicle to another.

 

Who Qualifies: Any Colorado licensed dealer who can demonstrate being licensed by the Colorado Dealer Licensing Board.

 

Requirements:  Plates are only to be used when the vehicle is being driven by a prospective buyer for demonstration purposes or when the vehicle is being driven by a dealership employee during normal business hours for conducting legitimate dealership business.

 

Fees: In addition to applicable material fees:

  •  1st Plate: $32.00
  •  2nd-5th Plate: $9.50
  •  $12.00 for each plate thereafter

 

Number of Plates Allowed: Unlimited.

Full Use Dealer Motorcycle License Plate

Full-Use Motorcycle Dealer

About:  These plates are for vehicles to be utilized by:

  • the owners, co-owners and/or employees of a qualified dealership.
  • the spouse or dependent child living in the same household as a licensed dealer or wholesaler.
  • any person including former, current and prospective customers in order to serve the legitimate business interest of the dealership.

 

Available for: Any vehicle owned or offered for sale by a qualified dealer/wholesaler.

 

Who Qualifies: Any Colorado licensed dealer/wholesaler who has sold more than 25 motor vehicles in the 12-month period preceding application.

 

Requirements: Must possess a valid Dealer's License

 

Fees: Adjusted annually.

 

Number of Plates Allowed: Unlimited.
