My Total Compensation Value Statement - Instructions
Instructions: This is an easy-to-use summary of all components of total compensation that your employer, the State, provides to its employees. This statement will take you through various parts of your compensation in a step-by-step sequence. All you need to complete this statement is a copy of your most recent pay advice received from payroll. Enter all appropriate amounts and use the "tab" key to move from item to item. Some values are calculated automatically, but this doesn't happen until you move to the next item. Entries are either in number of hours or dollar amounts.
In some cases where you may have questions about items, there are links to other DPA/DHR web pages for additional information. When a word is in blue, it is either a link to a web page or has a definition window that pops open for added information. In some cases there are drop-down menus for you to choose from; simply click on the arrow to open the menu. You can only enter information when the space has a yellow background. In some cases, the information is pre-entered and you cannot change it because it is the same amount for all employees.
None of the information or amounts you enter are recorded or seen by anyone else; when you exit this statement, your entries are discarded and not saved or kept anywhere. You may print a copy for your use, if desired.
