In-Home Support Services Fact Sheet

• Back-up services means 24-hour IHSS coverage that must be available to Eligible Consumers when the selected Attendant cannot provide the necessary services listed on the IHSS Plan.
  
  
• In-Home Support Services Agencies must provide 24-hour back-up services, seven days per week, at any time that a scheduled Attendant is not available, whether the Attendants absence is anticipated or unforeseen.
