Breast and Cervical Cancer Program

The Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) is a Medicaid program for women who have been diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer at certain screening clinics called Women's Wellness Connection sites (WWC). BCCP also covers breast and cervical conditions that may lead to cancer if not treated.

Certain services require prior authorization as described in the Medicaid billing instruction manuals published by the Fiscal Agent.
Presumptive Eligibility
Presumptive eligibility allows a woman to enroll in Medicaid for a short time before a BCCP Medicaid application is received and processed. The presumptive eligibility form and BCCP Medicaid application must be completed at the WWC site. Presumptive eligibility allows women to start treatment quickly after a diagnosis is made.
Clients eligible for BCCP are exempt from enrollment in Medicaid managed care programs.
