Medicaid Eligibility Family and Children's Categories
Family Medicaid is a public health insurance program for Colorado children age 0-18 and for parents with dependent children. The program is funded jointly by a federal-state partnership and is administered by the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.

What does Family Medicaid cost?
Children and pregnant women do not have to pay any co-pays. Other adults may have a small co-pay
What documentation is needed?
Special services
Medicaid eligible clients under the age of 21 are eligible for special benefits through the EPSDT (Early and Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment) program. Children are automatically referred to EPSDT after enrollment in Medicaid
How does a family apply?
Applications are available in English and Spanish. The application must be completed and sent to the County Departments Human/Social Services
Pregnant women or children who need health care right away can apply at a Presumptive Eligibility Application Site.
