It is the Colorado Metrology Laboratory's policy to provide timely measurement services of the highest quality attainable meeting statutory and regulatory requirements to field staff and customers, through continuous improvement of the management system.

The Laboratory is equipped with the latest technology for standards calibration and is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) through a 2008 certificate of traceability . 

The laboratory provides calibration services in:

• Mass (Echelon II & III)
• Length (300 ft - 1 ft, 90 m - 0.1 m)
• Volume (100 gal - 1 pt, 3 L - 10 mL)
• Time/Frequency (tuning forks, stopwatches, and LASER speed units)
• Grain Moisture (< or= 25%)
