On September 11, 2013, steady rainfall caused damages to Town buildings, equipment, and infrastructure. Recovery from the flood damage will continue throughout 2014 and into future years. The Town has been awarded funding through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the State of Colorado Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA), the Town's insurer. The Town will have a 12.5% match for all FEMA and State reimbursements. Due to delays in reimbursements, the Town has funded all flood response and recovery projects out of cash on hand.
