Current Town of Estes Park projects include:
MORAINE AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS - This project, scheduled for spring of 2013, will improve the safety of the sidewalk corridor along Moraine Ave. from Elkhorn Ave. to Crags Dr.
COMPLETED: MACGREGOR AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION - In the fall of 2012 the Town oversaw repairs to the 100-block of MacGregor Ave., which was reconstructed in 2011 as part of the first phases of Bond Park’s redevelopment. After it was determined that the road was not built to specification, contractor Cornerstone Construction Concepts, Inc. agreed to repair the road at no additional cost to the Town, with the exception of any changes the Town may make to the contract specifications.
COMPLETED: VIRGINIA DRIVE, PARK LANE, MACGREGOR AVENUE, STEAMER DRIVE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT -- Spring 2012. The project includes replacement of the four-inch cast iron water main with a six-inch ductile iron pipe and road reconstruction along Virginia Drive and Park Lane, as well as a pavement overlay on MacGregor Avenue between Park Lane and Wonderview Avenue. Improvements to the concrete sidewalk and parking areas are also included in the scope of work. Improvements to Steamer Dr. include curb and gutter from U.S. 34 to Upper Stanley Village and overlay of the pavement to Pioneer Lane.
COMPLETED: BLACK CANYON CREEK - The purpose of this project is to permanently improve safety of pedestrians below the rock face by widening the creek bed. Improvements will provide more native plants and riparian habitat, while removing the temporary fencing.
