Types of personalized plates:

These plates are available for personalization. Personalized plate configuration must be at least two positions and no more than seven. Refer to the Personalized License Plate Application for restrictions and personalization standards. Additional fees are assessed upon approval of the personalized plate application, issuance and each year thereafter upon renewal. Information regarding these fees and instructions for application may be found in the Personalized License Plate Application. Approved applicants will receive a billing letter with instructions. Payments should not be submitted with the Personalized License Plate Application.

Personalized Regular and Designer Plates

A one-time fee of $60.00 ($58.00 upon approval and $2.00 when registered) with an annual $25.00 fee collected each year thereafter upon renewal for Regular Personalized Plates.

A one-time fee of $85.00 ($83.00 upon approval and $2.00 when registered) with an annual $50.00 fee collected each year thereafter upon renewal for Designer Personalized plates.

Personalized Alumni Plates

A one-time fee of $60.00 ($58.00 upon approval and $2.00 when registered) with an annual $25.00 fee collected each year thereafter upon renewal for personalized Alumni Plates. Respective logos will be removed from all personalized plates. Pre-certification qualifiers may be required by the alumni association authorizing issuance of the alumni license plate. Applications requesting alumni personalized plates must have the, original pre-certification qualifier certificate issued by the alumni association submitted with the Personalized License Plate Application. Please refer to the alumni license plate for pre-certification qualifier criteria.

Group Special Personalized Plates

A one-time fee of $60.00 ($58.00 upon approval and $2.00 when registered) with an annual $25.00 fee collected each year thereafter upon renewal for Group Special personalized plates. Respective logos will be removed from all personalized plates. Pre-certification qualifiers may be required by the group special license plate non-profit organization authorizing issuance of the group special license plate. Applications requesting group special personalized plates must have the original pre-certification qualifier certificate issued by the non-profit organization submitted with the Personalized License Plate Application. Personalized Motorcycle Plates*

A one-time fee of $60.00 ($58.00 upon approval and $2.00 when registered) will be assessed with an annual $25.00 fee collected each year thereafter upon renewal for personalized motorcycle plates.
