Online Access to Individual Income Tax Account

Taxpayers and tax professionals may now access individual income tax returns, payment history, refund status and other information through the department’s Revenue Online service. Offering these services online, in one place, will help taxpayers and tax professionals to quickly and easily submit documents online and transact tax business with the department.

 

Revenue Online for Individuals includes the following:

 

  • Access Your Income Tax Account (Sign Up/Login)
  • Add Power of Attorney (no need to log in, but you can do this when you are logged in)
  • Address Change
  • Amend a Return, 2009 and foward
  • Balance Inquiry
  • Copy of Return, 2009 and forward
  • File a Protest
  • File a Return, 2009 and forward (no need to log in, but you can do this when you are logged in)
  • Make a Payment (no need to log in, but you can do this when you are logged in)
  • Refund Status/Where’s My Refund? (no need to log in, but you can find this when you are logged in)
  • Request a Payment Plan
  • View 1099-Gs issued by the department
  • View Letters from the department
  • View Payments

 

Tax professionals may want to encourage their clients to sign up for Revenue Online account access and work clilents to review information in the account.  Individuals may set up their own Login ID and Password to access their Colorado individual income tax account. Revenue Online is available at: https://www.Colorado.gov/RevenueOnline

 

Services previously available through Revenue Online that will continue include individual income tax NetFile and consumer use tax online filing. The department will centralize all its online services, including those for sales, wage withholding and fuel taxes, in Revenue Online during 2011. In September, online filing of corporation, fiduciary and partnership returns (and amended returns) will be available through Revenue Online in formats similar to individual income tax NetFile.

 

Note: Filing and account maintenance services in Revenue Online require users to install the Microsoft Silverlight plug-in. Revenue Online offers a user-friendly display that is not possible unless the Silverlight plug-in is installed.
