Special Event Fill-in Forms

Colorado Special Event Sales Tax License Applications and Returns can be filed through Revenue Online.

If you have attended an event follow these steps:
 

  1. Go to Revenue Online at www.Colorado.gov/RevenueOnline
  2. Click on File a Return.
  3. Click on File Special Event Sales Tax. This link is located on the middle-left side of the page.
  4. You will see a list of events, sorted by city.
  5. Click on the Event Name for your show.  If your show is not listed, there is an option to complete a blank form online.
  6. Follow the prompts and file your return.


Note: The forms are custom-made for each special event, including appropriate state-collected tax rates. Please make sure that you select the correct form for your event. Online forms are not available for every special event.
 

If you have not attended an event yet and do not have a license, please download and submit the DR 0589, Special Event Application along with any fees to the department.
