Dropped SR-22 Insurance

If you have a requirement to carry SR-22 insurance, and the Department of Motor Vehicles receives information that your insurance is no longer in effect, you will be given a certain amount of time to remedy the situation to avoid suspension.

You may request a hearing, however the only issue will be whether the DMV was notified that you were no longer carrying SR-22 insurance.

There are no driving privileges that can be granted by the Hearings Division while under this type of action.

If the suspension has already entered, and assuming no other restraints are in effect, you may be able to reinstate after obtaining SR-22 insurance. For more information on reinstatement, click here.
