THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT:
THE COLORADO STORY


The state of Colorado expects to receive more than $5.48 billion in the next three years from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The funds include tax relief for working families and a variety of grants that are coming to the state through many different channels. Some will go directly to local organizations and others will be allocated through state agencies. These funds are coming to Colorado through more than 140 different programs.

 

Colorado also will be competing for a wide range of competitive grants available through the recovery act, mainly in education, broadband, health information technology and renewable energy.
