Adults without Dependent Children Advisory Committee
Advisory Committee Information
In May 2012, the Department opened enrollment for a limited number of adults without dependent children (AwDC). The Department developed a stakeholder Advisory Committee for the purposes of exchanging information and identifying, evaluating and communicating issues related to the development and implementation of this program.
On January 1, 2014, Colorado began covering childless adults through the Medicaid expansion, so there was no longer a need for the limited AwDC program. The AwDC Advisory Committee met for the last time in December 2013, and the program ended December 31, 2013.
The Department thanks committee members and other stakeholders for contributing their time, energy, and expertise in preparing for the larger Medicaid expansion.
