DENVER — Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today order flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, Feb. 3, on all public buildings statewide in memory of Jefferson County Sheriff Sgt. David Baldwin. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.
Baldwin was a 27-year veteran of the agency. He was killed Jan. 26 in the line of duty after being hit on his motorcycle by a wrong-way driver on Highway 93.
The funeral for Baldwin will be at 10 a.m., Monday, Feb. 3, at 1STBANK Center, 11450 Broomfield Lane, Broomfield. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Crystal; a son, Joshua, and his fiance, Jacqui.
