DENVER — Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced several Boards and Commissions appointments today. The appointments were to the Public Trustee for Douglas County; the Scenic and Historic Byways Commission; and the State Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Council.
The Public Trustee for Douglas County handles public transactions and foreclosures on real estate properties. The public trustee oversees the administration of Deeds of Trust including releasing them when a loan has been satisfied and foreclosing in the event of default. The public trustee is also responsible for the collection of tax accounts for Land Purchase Contracts for Deed within his or her county. The member appointed for a term expiring Feb. 1, 2015:
The Scenic and Historic Byways Commission works with state agencies, the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, local byways organizations, public and private resources, to assist in the development of byways management plans, including interpretation, promotion and protection of distinctive byways characteristics. They also help coordinate the budgeting process and allocation of federal, state, and private funds for the purpose of byway improvement. The members appointed for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2017:
