DENVER — Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 — Gov. John Hickenlooper will make 12 stops over two days next week during community forums on the Eastern Plains and in Southern Colorado. These meetings will be similar to community forums held last month in Grand Junction and Glenwood Springs.
The two-day tour will begin Tuesday, Aug. 13, in Sterling, followed by stops in Akron, Burlington, Cheyenne Wells, Lamar and Springfield. On Wednesday, Aug. 14, community forums will be held in Trinidad, Alamosa, Salida, Del Norte and Pagosa Springs.The governor will join business and community leaders at the each of the forums to discuss water, economic development, healthcare, education and other issues important to community members.
