Gov. Hickenlooper statement about Secretary Ken Salazar

DENVER — Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 — Gov. John Hickenlooper released this statement today in response to news that Ken Salazar will step down at Secretary of the Interior:

“Ken Salazar reflects the best that is Colorado. He and his family have a long history of public service in our state and country. As Secretary of the Interior, Ken expanded the integrity of the agency and was a strong advocate for Colorado and the West. He is someone who gets things done. His many accomplishments included establishing the expansive Rocky Mountain Greenway across metropolitan Denver and creating a remarkable conservation area in Southern Colorado and Northern New Mexico. We want to congratulate Ken on his distinguished record as a Cabinet member. We look forward to welcoming him back to Colorado.”
