DENVER — Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced several Boards and Commissions appointments today. The appointments were to the Behavioral Health Transformation Council; the CollegeInvest Board of Directors; the Colorado Aeronautical Board; and the Colorado Beef Council Authority Board of Directors.
The Behavioral Health Transformation Council works to reduce the economic and social costs of untreated behavioral health disorders through the systemic transformation of the behavioral health system from one that is fragmented and siloed into one that is streamlined, efficient and effective for Coloradans. The members appointed for terms expiring Aug. 30, 2016:
The CollegeInvest Board of Directors administers Colorado’s 529 college savings programs and students studying in- and out-of-state. The appointment must be confirmed by the Colorado Senate. The member appointed for a term expiring July 31, 2015:
The Colorado Aeronautical Board assesses and adopts a plan to address the state’s aviation needs and makes recommendations to the Director of the Division of Aeronautics within the Department of Transportation. The appointments must be confirmed by the Colorado Senate. The members appointed with terms effective Feb. 1, 2012 and expiring Dec. 19, 2015:
The Colorado Beef Council Authority Board of Directors works to promote the increased consumption of Colorado beef. The board researches beef production methods, advancements and other matters with economic impacts upon the beef industry and makes this information available to interested parties.
