Gov. Hickenlooper appoints county court judge in 4th Judicial District

DENVER — Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced the appointment of the Hon. Laura Findorff to the 4th Judicial District County Court (El Paso County). Findorff will fill a vacancy created by the resignation of the Hon. Marla Prudek.


Findorff currently works as a magistrate judge in the 18th Judicial District. Since moving to Colorado in 2000, Laura has worked as an adjunct professor at Pikes Peak Community College, as a law clerk at Gentry and Haskins, as a senior editor at LexisNexis, of counsel to Haskins & Cyboron and as a legal research attorney to the 18th Judicial District. Before 2000, Findorff worked in private practice in California.


Findorff earned an undergraduate degree, a Paralegal Certificate and a Juris Doctorate, all from the University of San Diego.


The appointment is effective Nov. 8, 2012.
