Gov. Hickenlooper presents 2012 Governor's Service Awards

DENVER — Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 — Gov. John Hickenlooper, along with representatives from Serve Colorado – the Governor’s Commission on Community Service, presented the 2012 Governor’s Service Awards during a special awards ceremony today.

The Governor’s Service Awards are presented in recognition and appreciation to individuals, community/civic leaders, various organizations and Senior Corps for their outstanding contribution to volunteerism and service throughout Colorado.

“We want to congratulate every volunteer and the award winners recognized today,” Hickenlooper said. “These volunteers enrich the lives of every Coloradan and every community through their service and dedication to help others. Today we recognize the work that touches the lives of all of us and makes Colorado a great place.”
