Gov. Hickenlooper to announce Social Innovation Fund grant to Mile High United Way

DENVER - Monday, August 22, 2011 - Gov. John Hickenlooper and Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia will announce a Social Innovation Fund grant award to Mile High United Way from the Corporation for National and Community Service.

11:45 a.m. – Gov. Hickenlooper will join Lt. Gov. Joe Garcia; Christine Benero, Executive Director Mile High United Way; and Paul Carttar, Social Innovation Fund Director, Corporation for National and Community Service for a press conference to announce the Social Innovation grant award and how this will benefit the state’s early childhood literacy initiative.
