Gov. Hickenlooper announces appointments to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education

Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today appointments to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

The Colorado Commission on Higher Education’s mission is to provide access to high-quality, affordable education for all Colorado residents that is student-centered, quality driven and performance-based. CCHE is committed to providing the best quality education at the best price with the best possible service for its customers.

“The addition of Monte Moses and Jeanette Garcia, both with such strong credentials and experience in K-12 public education, will strengthen the Commission’s ability to help students bridge the gap between high school and college,” Hickenlooper said.

The members appointed with terms expiring July 1, 2015, are:

• Patricia L. Pacey, Ph.D., of Boulder to serve as a representative of the 2nd Congressional District and as a Democrat, reappointed.
• Larry B. Beckner of Grand Junction to serve as a member west of the Continental Divide, a representative of the 3rd Congressional District and as a Republican, reappointed.
• Jeanette Autobee Garcia of Pueblo to serve as a representative of the 3rd Congressional District and as a Democrat.
• Monte Moses, Ph.D. of Englewood to serve as a representative of the 6th Congressional District and as a Republican.
• Charles Hereford Percy of Arvada to serve as a representative of the 7th Congressional District and as a Republican, reappointed.
